Def Leppard’s Diamond Star Halos shines on the Sunset Strip on eve of band’s invite-only Whisky show.
On the eve of their hotly-anticipated show at the Whisky A Go-Go on May 26, Def Leppard left their mark on the Sunset Strip earlier today to announce the release of their new album, Diamond Star Halos.
The British band is in town to perform an invite-only concert as a promotion for the new album, sponsored by streaming giant SiriusXM.

L.A. is always gets a little more exciting when Def Leppard’s in town. And it’s good to see some authentic rock and roll nostalgia back on the boulevard courtesy of huge promo posters for Diamond Star Halos that have added a splash of rock n’ roll flair in two different locations on Rock Row, appropriately between the Rainbow and Whisky.

Additionally, the Whisky is decked out in tribute to the pride of Sheffield, with the club’s iconic canopy adorned with Def Leppard iconography, and the band’s name up in lights on the Sunset Strip venue’s famous marquee.

Coincidentally, fellow Brit icons the Sex Pistols also get a salute on Sunset courtesy of bus-shelter ads for Danny Boyle‘s new rock doc series, Pistols, which is based on guitarist Steve Jones‘ memoir Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol.

Def Leppard’s Whisky show should appease local fans until the band returns to rock SoFi Stadium on Sept. 5 with Sunset Strip legends Motley Crue and Poison.
